We couldn't be more happy with Linus new school-- it's located where Mattias works, the teachers are great, the building is brand spanking new, AND they send out pictures periodically. As you can see below, Linus loves both play and craft time.

Last month they had a Valentine's Day party and exchanged cards. Guess who was the only one who brought handmade cards? Hint: his mother is Ellie (a.k.a. Filipino Martha Stewart.)
Being housed at a research institute, the daycare offers its share of science experiments as seen below left. Or is he cooking something? And every future nerd has to have his glasses :)

As suspected, Karlsson Kare is a less rigid, more open-play based curriculum. Read: if he asks for it and looks cute enough, chances are Farmor will let him do it. As long as it doesn't hurt him or others. Digging through the sand- of course! Tossing organized items outside of their bins-- why not?

Nature is a huge part of his day, weather permitting of course. With a beautiful greenbelt in the backyard, and a county dog park (complete with a stream and nature center) nearby, there is always something to do involving nature.

One of Linus' favorite activities is scouting for fire trucks or diggers.

And eating is never a problem at Farmor's. The offerings below are: a whole chicken drumstick and a tube of Swedish creamed fish roe.

Most of all, Linus loves to play and chill in the living room. Where he has his own little desk, a bay window to look at cars, and all his toys and books.

All that fun can make a little dude tired, though. So a nap in the stroller or a quiet snack out on the patio are a few ways they like to end the day.

Now that spring is officially here, we will be outside more, taking more pictures, and keeping you (our demanding public) up to date on our current goings-ons.
